Senior Building Surveyor

Senior Building Surveyor Permanent Role - £42,000 - £55,000 / year North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire (Hybrid - 2 days per week at home) Design Consultancy A Senior Building Surveyor is required to join a multidisciplinary consultancy in North or West Yorkshire on a permanent role. Responsibilities include producing plans, sections and detail drawings for construction using AutoCAD for refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance and new build projects, producing and managing planning, building regulation and building applications, and completing project designs and H&S risk assessments. You will also be responsible for carrying out building surveys with subsequent condition reporting, investigating building defects, developing solutions for those problems, preparing feasibility reports, and producing plans, sections, detailed drawings specifications, schedules of works, construction contracts, and other documents to high standards. This role also requires you to attend site visits regularly, lead formal meetings for clients and contractors and coordinate between several different stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a RICS accredited Building Surveying degree, have significant work experience as a Building Surveyor with extensive knowledge and experience with using AutoCAD to create drawings, have experience producing schedules of works using software such as NBS, and have a full UK driving license. You must also have experience working on buildings with asbestos, be able to work under minimal supervision and have the ability to mentor others. The ideal candidate will be working towards full RICS membership via APC pathway, but this is not essential.
