Are you a skilled Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic looking for your next step? Our client — a busy, successful main dealer in Glasgow— is growing and they’re on the lookout for a confident, experienced Technician to join their aftersales team. Whether you’ve been working as a Mechanic, Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician or within a prestige workshop environment, this role offers genuine progression with routes into Workshop Controller, Assistant Manager and Garage Manager positions. Salary: up £40,000 – 49,000 Hours: Monday – Friday 8.15am – 5.30pm (Saturdays 8am-1pm) Why you’ll love this role • Performance Related Bonus • 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) in addition to an annual leave purchase & sale scheme • Industry leading package • Pension Scheme & Life Assurance • Ford Privilege vehicle purchase scheme • Discount on Service, Bodyshop and Parts • 1 day each year to volunteer for a charity of your choice • Cycle to work purchase scheme • Access to Perks at Work discount website • Toolbox Insurance • High-quality facilities and equipment • A chance to build a long-term career within a thriving dealership What you’ll be doing (and doing brilliantly) • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to the highest manufacturer standards • Working efficiently to manufacturer-set timings to maintain productivity • Completing accurate diagnostic reports and documenting work carried out • Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised • Communicating clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers • Ensuring customer satisfaction stays front and centre • Supporting and mentoring other Technicians as required • Developing towards Assistant Manager responsibilities What we’re looking for • NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a prestige dealership or similar environment • Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability • Excellent customer service standards • Able to work independently and take ownership of your output • Full UK Driving Licence • High Voltage (EV/Hybrid) trained preferred • Motivated, target-driven, and adaptable within a busy workshop Sound like you?
