Social Worker - Duty & Assessment (AST) | Staffordshire (Multiple Locations) Location: Staffordshire - Stafford, South Staffs, Cannock, Newcastle, Moorlands Rate: £38-£40 per hour (flexibility for experienced candidates) Contract: Locum / Ongoing We are supporting Staffordshire County Council (SCC) with a recruitment campaign to cover current vacancies and posts impacted by sickness across several teams. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Social Workers to join well-supported services with competitive rates and flexibility for the right candidates. 📍 Current Opportunities Stafford - AST x2 South Staffs - AST x2 Cannock - Duty x1, AST x1 Newcastle - Duty x1, AST x2 Moorlands - AST x2, Duty x3 💼 Role Overview You will be working within Duty or Assessment (AST) teams, managing a varied caseload and undertaking key statutory responsibilities, including: Completing assessments and risk management Managing duty responsibilities, including referrals and safeguarding concerns Undertaking care planning and reviews Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners Ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice standards ✅ Requirements Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) Registered with Social Work England Proven experience in Children's or Adult Services within Duty/Assessment settings Strong assessment, safeguarding and case management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced statutory environment 🌟 Why Join SCC?
