Grounds Maintenance Operative – HM Long Lartin Evesham, Worcestershire Temporary Agency Contract Monday to Friday Competitive Hourly Rate Our client is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to work at HM Prison Long Lartin, one of the UK's high-security prison establishments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional facilities and maintenance team, helping to maintain the external environment of a secure site to a high standard. The Role As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the upkeep and presentation of the prison grounds, ensuring outdoor areas remain safe, tidy, and well-maintained throughout the year. Key Responsibilities * Grass cutting and lawn maintenance * Hedge trimming and pruning * Weed control and vegetation management * Leaf clearance and litter picking * Maintenance of pathways, fences, and external areas * Planting and seasonal grounds maintenance activities * Safe operation of grounds maintenance equipment and machinery * Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures * Supporting wider site maintenance teams when required Candidate Requirements * Previous grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance experience * Ability to use equipment such as mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, and leaf blowers * Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions * Strong work ethic and ability to work independently * Good communication skills * Awareness of health and safety procedures * Full UK Driving Licence (desirable but not essential) Security Clearance Due to the nature of the site, successful applicants will be required to undergo: * Enhanced security clearance checks * Identity and right-to-work verification * Employment history checks What We Offer * Weekly pay * Dedicated consultant support throughout your assignment * Opportunity to gain experience within a unique and secure working environment * Potential for long-term opportunities * Full induction and site-specific training provided Apply Today If you have experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance and are looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you
