Window Installer / Glazier - Permanent & Part-Time Contract Opportunities Location: Irlam / Greater Manchester Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 (DOE) + overtime / contract day rates available About Irlam Glass Irlam Glass is a well-established local business delivering high-quality glazing solutions across Greater Manchester. With a growing order book and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking to strengthen our installation team with skilled, reliable professionals who take pride in doing the job properly. The Opportunity We are seeking at least one experienced Window Installer / Glazier to join on a full-time, permanent basis, as well as additional contractors for part-time support. You will play a key role in delivering a high standard of installations, repairs, and surveys across residential and commercial projects. This is an opportunity to join a business that values craftsmanship, consistency, and long-term team development. You will also be expected to support and mentor apprentices on site. Key Responsibilities Carry out detailed site surveys and accurately measure for installations Install windows, doors, and glazing systems to a high professional standard Diagnose and complete lock repairs and adjustments Undertake glass repair and remediation work, including replacements Ensure all installations are secure, weatherproof, and compliant with standards Maintain clean, safe, and organised work sites Provide excellent customer-facing service at all times Support and guide apprentices during installations Requirements Proven experience as a window fitter, glazier, or installer Demonstrable track record across surveys, installations, and repair work Strong knowledge of different window systems and glazing methods Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standards Experience with lock repair and general remediation work Full UK driving licence Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Salary & Package Permanent salary: £32,000 - £38,000 depending on experience Overtime opportunities available Contract/day-rate options for additional installers What Makes This Role Different Stable, ongoing workload with a reputable local company Focus on quality over rushed, price-driven installs Opportunity to mentor apprentices and shape the next generation Honest, straightforward environment with high standards How to Apply If you are a skilled installer who takes pride in your work and consistently delivers high-quality results, we want to hear from you.
