About the role

Exciting new opportunity! I am currently working with a well-established laboratory business who are looking for a General Manager to oversee multi-site operations. This is a senior leadership position responsible for operational performance, client relationships, commercial growth, and overall site management within a high-throughput laboratory environment. Responsibilities: • Managing the overall performance and day-to-day operations across multiple laboratory sites • Driving site profitability, operational efficiency, and KPI performance • Leading and developing laboratory management teams • Building and maintaining strong client relationships • Supporting business growth and identifying opportunities for additional services • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and accreditation standards • Managing staffing, training, succession planning, and performance management • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the business • Producing business plans and performance reports for senior leadership Requirements: • Previous experience managing laboratory operations or large technical teams • Strong leadership and people management skills • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational targets • Background within food, environmental, chemistry, microbiology, or related testing sectors • Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when required This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader looking to join a growing and highly respected organisation.
