National Account Manager – Retail Location: Salary: £40,000-£50,000 + 10% bonus and benefits Industry: FMCG Role Type: Full-time, Permanent Take ownership of a high-profile national retail account with huge growth potential. We’re looking for a driven, detail-focused National Account Manager to lead one of our client’s most strategically important grocery retail partners. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where high standards, commercial sharpness and brilliant customer management are essential. You’ll be at the heart of a division undergoing positive change — improving processes, strengthening cross-functional alignment and unlocking major commercial opportunities. As National Account Manager, you’ll manage the daily commercial delivery of a complex, high-volume retail account across a number of different categories. Lead day-to-day management of a major national retail account. Build strong, assertive relationships and act as the customer’s key commercial contact. Develop annual account plans with clear sales, margin and growth objectives. Oversee forecasting accuracy and maintain service levels. Monitor competitor activity and translate insights into commercial action. Produce structured commercial reporting, highlighting performance, risks and opportunities. Ideally a graduate that has completed a commercial graduate scheme and moved into a NAE role and looking for their next move into a NAM role Experience with major UK retailers within FMCG, produce, food, gifting or similar categories. Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills and strong data fluency. Ownership of a high-value national retail account. The chance to influence category direction and regain major sales opportunities.
