HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver – Rugby, Warwickshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire .

This role would also suit candidates with previous experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, or Class 1 HGV Driver.

Shifts: • Four on, four off rota (rota provided) • Night shifts • Start times between 18:00 – 20:00 Rates of Pay: • Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour • Saturday: £20.00 per hour • Sunday: £22.00 per hour Benefits: As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Training provided • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Class 1 trailer drop and swap work between depots • Manual work with curtain-side trailers, including removing and replacing safety bars • Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and site teams • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: • A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and regulations Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving experience Training Provided: • Driving assessment required prior to starting • Training and ongoing support provided throughout the assignment Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver , apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information. xwzovoh
