The company is now seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing engineering operations within a complex electronics and assembly environment.
The Role
This position will lead the development and execution of manufacturing engineering strategy across PCB assembly and final product assembly operations. You will play a key role in driving operational performance, continuous improvement, new product introduction, and engineering capability across the site.
You will manage and develop a high-performing engineering team while supporting production efficiency, quality, safety, and future manufacturing growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team across operations.
Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support NPI activities and ensure manufacturability standards are achieved.
Improve OEE, productivity, quality, and equipment performance.
Oversee PFMEA, DFMEA, process controls, and manufacturing standards.
Support investment planning for new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, and NPI teams.
Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and site SHE standards.
Manage budgets, headcount planning, and engineering resource allocation.
Optimise shop-floor layouts and manufacturing flow.
Experience Required
Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
Strong background within electronics manufacturing environments.
Experience with surface-mount and through-hole assembly processes.
Proven leadership experience within manufacturing engineering operations.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Experience with PFMEA, DFMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of SAP/MRP systems and MES platforms.
Lean Six Sigma certification desirable.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status advantageous.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. xwzovoh
