Job Title: Industrial Automation Sales Engineer / Account Manager Salary: £50,000 - £58,000 + £15,000 commission + Car/Allowance + Benefits We’re looking for a commercially driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to grow our industrial automation business. You’ll be selling a high-quality portfolio of PLCs, drives, sensors, and robotics solutions to both end users and OEMs across a range of industries including manufacturing, logistics, and process automation. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving real-world engineering challenges while building strong, long-term customer relationships. Developing new business while managing and growing existing accounts Selling automation solutions including PLC systems, motion control, drives, sensing technologies, and robotics Providing technical consultation and solution-based sales rather than just product selling Collaborating with internal engineering and support teams to deliver tailored solutions Experience in industrial automation sales, applications engineering, or similar Knowledge of PLCs, VSDs/drives, sensors, robotics, or control systems Strong communication and relationship-building skills Competitive base salary with uncapped commission/bonus potential Company car or car allowance Ongoing training and career development in a growing sector Supportive team environment with real progression opportunities Industrial automation is rapidly evolving, and this role puts you right at the centre of it—helping customers modernise, optimise, and future-proof their operations.
