Technical Sales Representative – Ground Support & Propping
We’re partnering with a specialist business operating in ground support, propping and temporary works, supporting contractors across a wide range of construction projects.
This is a field-based sales role covering Kent and the surrounding areas, focused on building relationships, winning new business and supporting projects from enquiry through to delivery.
You don’t need to come from this exact product background. We’re open to people from construction, civils, or technical environments , or those in customer-facing roles looking to step into a more commercial, field-based position .
Full support will be provided to build your technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across contractors and project teams
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customers across Kent and surrounding areas
- Visit sites and clients to understand requirements and build relationships
- Prepare quotations and proposals aligned to project needs
- Support customers with product and solution guidance (training provided)
- Work with internal teams to deliver projects smoothly
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and track activity through CRM
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a customer-facing or sales role
- Exposure to construction, civils, engineering or a related technical environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Motivated, organised and comfortable working independently in the field
- Keen to develop technical knowledge and grow within the role
➕ Nice to Have (not essential)
- Experience in ground support, propping, plant hire or temporary works
- Ability to read drawings or technical specifications
- Existing relationships with contractors or site teams
The Package
- Basic salary: £45,000 to £55,000
- OTE: £5,000 to £15,000
- Field-based role covering ME, CT, TN, BN, RH, DA, BR and SE postcodes
- Regular site visits and client meetings
- Occasional overnight stays
