Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an attentive and experienced Quality Inspector to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that products, processes and workmanship meet internal quality standards and stringent customer requirements.
In return, there is a salary of c£35,000 on offer, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), cycle to work scheme, employee electric car scheme, employee discount scheme, employee assistance program and the opportunity to trade further holidays.
You will be contracted to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Skills & Experience
Proven industry experience in heavy engineering, plant or rail sectors
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
In depth understanding of welding processes
Familiar with or qualified to PCN, CSWIP welding inspection
NVQ Diploma/City & Guilds in relevant engineering discipline
Demonstrable knowledge of inspection techniques and quality tools
Roles & Responsibilities Conduct in-process and final inspections of products, components, and assemblies
Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality standards
Identify, record, and report non-conformances
Inspect heavy fabrications, large castings and weldments using a variety of inspection and testing techniques
Conduct and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
Update and maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
