People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver – Northampton, Northamptonshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine room for growth and progression.
This role would also be suitable for candidates with experience as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, or Class 1 HGV Driver.
Shifts
Monday to Friday
AM's Start times between 04:00 – 07:00
PM's Start times between 17:00 – 20:00
Rates of Pay
AM's Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour
PM's Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour
Saturday: £20.00 per hour
Sunday: £22.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
Class 1 curtain side deliveries (1-2 on average) or Trailer Swaps
Manual work required with curtain-side trailers, including removing and placing safety bars
Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
Essential Skills
Valid UK Category CE licence
Minimum 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles
No more than 6 penalty points (minor infringements only)
Valid UK CPC card and Digi card
Good spoken and written English
Desirable Experience
Experience driving commercial vehicles
Experience of using LST Trailers
Training Provided
Driving assessment must be passed
