We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using both power and hand tools. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles, contributing to the overall quality of our services.

*Responsibilities*

* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements and safety standards.
* Inspect vehicles for faults, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
* Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments as necessary.
* Perform heavy lifting when required, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any other relevant documentation.
* Communicate findings clearly to customers and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance.
* Stay updated with the latest regulations and best practices in vehicle testing.

*Requirements*

* Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
* Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers effectively.
