Business Development Executive £30,000 – £35,000 basic salary + monthly and quarterly bonus
A growing specialist manufacturer is looking to appoint a Business Development Executive to support continued expansion across the UK construction sector.
The business supplies specialist solutions into Tier 1 contractors, architects, specifiers, and commercial construction projects nationwide. Due to continued growth and increasing project demand, they are looking to strengthen their internal commercial team with an ambitious and relationship-focused sales professional.
This is a stable, well-established business with a strong industry reputation, excellent staff retention, and genuine long-term progression opportunities.
Working closely with the commercial and sales team, the Business Development Executive will focus on identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, and building relationships across the construction industry.
This is a phone-led B2B sales and business development role suited to somebody who enjoys speaking with people, building rapport, and developing commercial opportunities. Success in the role will come from proactive outreach, relationship management, and consistently developing a healthy sales pipeline.
Generate new business opportunities across the construction, roofing, and building products sectors
Conduct outbound calls and email outreach to contractors, architects, specifiers, and commercial contacts
Identify upcoming construction projects and potential sales opportunities
Qualify leads and arrange meetings for the external sales team
Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
Research target businesses, projects, and decision-makers
Support the wider commercial team with pipeline development and market intelligence
Previous experience within B2B sales, telesales, business development, internal sales, recruitment, estate agency, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles
Experience within construction, building products, roofing, merchanting, technical sales, or specification sales would be advantageous
Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
Comfortable speaking with new businesses and building relationships
Motivated by targets, performance, and career progression
Ambitious individuals looking to build a long-term career in sales or construction will also be considered
30,000 – £35,000 basic salary depending on experience
