Account Director – Public Sector
Leeds / Manchester / Midlands | Hybrid Working
£75,000 plus double OTE
I’m currently supporting a large, well-established MSP with the growth of its Public Sector Sales division. They’re looking to hire an experienced Account Director to manage and develop a small number of strategic Public Sector customers. This is a genuine Account Director role — not a high-volume new business position, with a strong focus on relationship development, strategic growth, and identifying opportunities across a broad technology portfolio.
Experience within the Education sector would be beneficial, though it isn’t essential. What’s more important is a proven background selling complex technology solutions within the MSP / VAR space and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
The role will focus on managing and growing three large accounts, working closely with technical, pre-sales, and delivery teams to position solutions that genuinely add value to customers.
We’re particularly keen to speak with people who have experience selling:
Datacentre solutions across Compute, Storage, and Hypervisor
Workspace technologies (Citrix, Microsoft, Omnissa / EUC)
Azure Infrastructure and cloud transformation solutions
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys strategic account development, navigating complex customer environments, and operating in a consultative, solution-led manner.
