Director, Customer Account Manager

About the Company We’re working on behalf of a highly respected, independently minded strategic brand and agency to identify an exceptional Account Director ready to step into a genuine leadership role. This is a business for people who enjoy autonomy, accountability, and being part of something they can genuinely help shape. This is not a traditional “account management” role. You’ll step in as second-in-command to the Managing Director within client services, inheriting responsibility for several of the agency’s most significant client relationships - including major brands within construction, energy infrastructure, and higher education. You’ll be expected to lead from the front: shaping strategy, driving commercial performance, mentoring team members, and helping define the future direction of the business. Act as senior strategic lead across flagship client accounts Partner closely with the Managing Director and the Strategy leadership team Develop strategic account plans and identify growth opportunities Lead briefing, planning, and delivery across brand, , and campaign projects Take ownership of profitability, utilisation, recoverability, and commercial negotiations Support new business activity, including proposals, chemistry meetings, and pitches You’re already operating successfully at Account Director level , with at least 2 years’ experience in a senior client leadership role. You're already operating successfully at Account Director level, with experienc in: Commercial sharpness and strong financial awareness Excellent client counsel and relationship-building skills A track record of identifying and converting organic growth opportunities Confidence managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects Working knowledge of financial tools such as Xero Experience with forecasting, P&L ownership, or agency financial reporting Performance-related bonus ~ Employee ownership bonus (tax-efficient) ~8% employer pension contribution ~ Hybrid working ~ Parking on site ~
