Key Account Manager (Commercial Wate) Location: Hybrid – East Midlands / UK travel required Salary: Up to £40,000 + benefits We are recruiting on behalf of a growing service-led Waste organisation for a commercially focused Key Account Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of customer accounts across the UK. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships while taking ownership of commercial performance, retention, and account growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers receive a high level of service while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and long-term value. The Role As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customer accounts, ensuring strong account performance, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth. This role combines relationship management with commercial accountability, making it ideal for someone who is proactive, organised, and confident managing both operational and commercial conversations. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts Drive revenue retention and identify opportunities for account growth Lead pricing reviews, renewals, and commercial discussions Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as the main point of contact Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery Resolve customer issues effectively and maintain long-term account stability Conduct regular account reviews, site visits, and performance meetings Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service performance, and customer value Maintain accurate CRM records and account plans What We’re Looking For Experience managing customer accounts within a service-led environment Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence revenue and margin performance Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise workload effectively Proactive and solutions-focused approach Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling challenging situations Desirable Experience Waste management, facilities management, logistics, utilities, or similar industries Experience with renewals, pricing, or commercial negotiations Background in improving account performance and customer growth Why Apply?
