A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a Reading Teaching Assistant from September 2026 on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year in July 2027, with strong potential for extension. This role is ideal for a graduate with strong child-centred experience looking to support KS1–KS2 pupils through targeted literacy, reading and writing interventions within a highly supportive school environment.

Reading Teaching Assistant – September 2026 | Waltham Forest
£444–£513 weekly via PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)

The role will involve:
• Delivering targeted reading, writing and literacy interventions
• Supporting pupils with SEND through small-group and 1:1 sessions
• Helping children improve reading fluency, comprehension and confidence
• Monitoring pupil progress alongside teaching staff
The successful candidate will:
• Hold a strong degree from a leading UK university / graduating this summer
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess strong child-centred experience working with young people
• Demonstrate patience, initiative and enthusiasm for education
