A leading building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join its London team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, hospitality, and refurbishment sectors, with a strong focus on sustainable and low-carbon design.

The role

Working alongside senior engineers, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Produce mechanical design calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings
• Support sustainable design and BREEAM-related requirements
• Attend site visits, surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities
• Undertake plant room design and spatial coordination
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams
• Support project delivery through all project stages

Requirements

• Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• Experience within a building services consultancy
• Strong mechanical design knowledge
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

• Revit experience
• IES modelling experience
• CIBSE membership or working towards Chartership
