A leading UK main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team delivering a landmark arena development in Cardiff Bay. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the region’s most high-profile construction projects, with a particular focus on fit out and internal works packages.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and coordinating internal trades, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards within a fast-paced construction environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing fit out and internal works packages from inception through to completion
* Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to ensure programme delivery
* Maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality across all internal works
* Monitoring progress against programme and resolving on-site issues proactively
* Ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications, drawings and project requirements
* Managing daily site operations and reporting progress to senior management
* Conducting inspections, snagging and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle
* Building strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders
* Supporting logistics planning and sequencing of internal trades
* Assisting with project handover and defect-free completion processes
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering fit out and internal works packages
* Background working for a main contractor on large-scale construction projects
* Strong understanding of sequencing and coordination of internal trades
* Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme performance effectively
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
* Relevant construction qualification preferred (HNC, NVQ or equivalent)
* Strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail
