Year 3 ECT

A small, one-form entry primary school in Wigan is seeking to appoint a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to take responsibility for a Year 3 class. This is a long-term, full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school was rated as maintaining an expected standard at its most recent inspection and prides itself on its nurturing environment and strong sense of community The Role • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 3 class in line with the national curriculum • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs • Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional needs • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school development The Ideal Candidate • Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Is an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction • Demonstrates a strong understanding of lower Key Stage 2 teaching and learning • Is enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional development Requirements • References covering the last 5 years • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
