I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for a Junior Accountant to join their established and growing team based in Greater Bournemouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional practice environment. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, ongoing development opportunities, and the chance to work with a varied client portfolio.

The Role
Reporting into senior management, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting clients with their accounting and compliance requirements while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Producing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
Reviewing financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Managing client queries and providing professional support on a day-to-day basis.
Maintaining regular communication with clients via telephone, email, and virtual meetings.
Responding to internal and external correspondence in a timely manner.
Monitoring deadlines and assisting with client follow-ups and information requests.
Supporting internal processes and maintaining accurate records.
Working towards individual and team performance objectives.
Candidate Requirements

My client is keen to speak with candidates who possess:

A minimum of one year's experience within an accountancy practice or accounting environment.
Experience using accounting software packages.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
A customer-focused and professional approach.
Candidates who are AAT qualified, studying towards AAT, or part-qualified ACCA/ACA will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
